In the morning of October 19, the China Urban-townization Promotion Council held a party-government joint meeting with the theme of "Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, Promoting the Work of CUPC". Chairman of CUPC, Zhenghua JIANG, administrative vice chairman, Xinli ZHENG, former minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and director of the Characteristic Towns Committee, Chengjie YIN, former vice minister of the Ministy of Human Resources and Social Securities, former vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Jingan ZHANG, vice chairman and secretary-general of CUPC, Yanbing CHEN, vice chairman of CUPC, Jincheng XIAO, Pingsheng WANG, Bingdi LI, Ping DU, Zhiguo WANG and other party members attended the meeting.

Yanbing CHEN started the meeting by delivering a report on the work of CUPC in the past three quarters and the plan of the coming quarter.

Then, the leaders present at the meeting focused on the report of the 19th CPC National Congress, and made a series of arrangements on the future work of CUPC combining its work reality.

During the meeting, Xinli ZHEN, administrative vice chairman of CUPC gave a in-depth interpretation of the report of the 19th CPC National Congress. He believes that the report embodies a number of theoretical innovation and theoretical contributions that mainly reflected in six aspects:

1, established the philosophy and strategies of socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the new ear, which is a major contribution since the 18th congress from ideological and theoretical aspects. The philosophy and strategies will become the guiding ideology of CPC;

2, defined the Two-Century Goal, and refined the work of the coming thirty years into two stages;

3, explained of the objectives and tasks for the work of building a modern economic system;

4, clarified the main contradictions in China at current stage;

5, put forward the strategy of Beautiful China;

6, brought forward the new goal, new tasks and new requirements of CPC.

Former vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, director of the Characteristics Towns Committee, Chengjie YIN pointed out that the report of the 19th CPC National Congress is rich in content and valuable in quality. He felt that the 19th CPC National Congress is of significant importance at the crucial period of building the well-off society and implementing the Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The report delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on behalf of the 18th Central Committee is inspiring and encouraging. The report creatively puts forward the historical judgment that our country has entered the new era of implementing the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, and focused on the latest theoretical achievements of Marxism in China. It provides the overall-goal, the overall-task, the basic strategy and the overall-plan of the new era, as well as the general guiding ideology.

In his concluding remarks, President Zhenghua JIANG stressed that CUPC has done a lot of work in promoting the construction of New-type Urbanization and achieved good results in the first three quarters of this year. The next step should focus on implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress.

Chairman Zhenghua JIANG also pointed out that the report of the 19th CPC National Congress is far-reaching, strategically advantageous, magnificent, exciting. The Report is deeply rooted on the reality of China and has a global view. It provided thorough analysis and comprehensive summary of the work been done since the 18th Congress. That the report received strong responses is an indication that it reflected people's minds. We should carry out in-depth and careful study of the report. Combined with the work of CUPC, he indicated that CUPC should deepen its research and practices on Urban-rual Integration by fully absorbing the strategies of Rural Revitalization and Harmonious Development mentioned in the report.
