Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet Yao He said it best when describing his hometown of Sanmenxia in Henan province – "A pavilion sitting beside the river, fish jumping and waterfowl tweeting all around".
Throughout its 1,000-year history, there have been many great changes in Sanmenxia, but its natural beauty has never changed. Today's modern city is flush with fertile waters and picturesque wetlands.

Sanmenxia residents enjoy a peaceful and satisfying lifestyle, and it's no wonder, with wonders such as Yellow River and Guoguo Park sat right on their doorstep. These restful places allow those in Sanmenxia to relax, take stock, and recharge.

Perhaps the place with the most poetry is Ganshan Mountain, whose slopes in autumn smattered with deep red leaves. In winter, steam rises from the natural spring which wells under the mountainside.
